Artist's Statement My paintings exhibit a rather unique perspective of personal and intimate environments. Through this perspective, the content of the work is imbued with emotive nuance as in the act of remembering and longing. An engagment with natures secret layers of time and its continual conflict by manmade objects.My influences are Van Gogh,Rembrandt,da Silva, Hilton, de Stael,Pollock,picasso,Rothko..Born in South Wales in 1973, and a fluent welsh speaker I graduated from St Martins in 1996 in Fine Art Painting my lecturers were Eileen Cooper R.A and Maurice Cockrill R.A. Later that year opened my own Art Gallery in North Wales,where I continued to paint and exhibit my work.The gallery ran for three years, and in that time exhibited many artist work, I also made stretchers and frames,I made many for Peter Prendergast, and Met up a few times with Kyffyn Williams. Ian Skidmore and his wife Silia helped me a great deal with Newspaper articles and opening of my shows.In 1998 I had a five minute slot on the Art Show on S4C Wales.
